VP of Engineering

Summary

aklimate is building a net zero toolbox for SMEs. We’ve all heard a huge amount about net zero, but so far action has been limited to governments and large global corporations. But SMEs make up 99.9% of businesses, account for 50% of business and industry emissions, and must decarbonise quickly if we are to avoid the worst effects of climate change. Come and join us in building an industry defining product, empowering SMEs to lead the net zero revolution.

We’re looking for an experienced full-stack software engineer to join as VP of Engineering, with ultimate ownership for our self-service technology platform, helping businesses to:

  1. Measure & Report Scope 1 - 3 emissions
  2. Commit to science-based reduction pathways
  3. Reduce & remove carbon towards these goals

The company was founded by Bain & Company and MasterCard alumni, with deep climate expertise and a real passion for democratising net zero. So far we’ve developed the first iteration of our product, reached our early adopters and raised funding from a number of exciting industry leaders. You would be joining the founding team of an exciting early stage climate venture; you’ll be writing code, defining our product, shaping our culture, collaborating with design partners and building a team of ethical climate activists.
